ReyVend chose a smaller tablet display not to cut costs, but because customer feedback showed that a compact screen feels more welcoming and less intimidating during use. It also pairs naturally with the Nayax VPOS Touch for a cleaner, more intuitive checkout experience.

The integrated Android smart-cooler tablet features a high-resolution 7-inch IPS TFT LCD module designed to display snacks and beverages with crisp, accurate imagery. Its LED-backlit design ensures consistent visibility, and its durable build provides reliable performance across a wide range of environments.

Display Performance

The smart cooler’s display tablet delivers sharp, full-color visuals at a resolution of 1024 × 600 with a 16.7-million-color palette. It supports both static graphics and video content, maintaining excellent clarity through its IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel. IPS technology ensures consistent color accuracy and contrast from any viewing angle, making it ideal for environments where customers approach the cooler from different sides.

The screen features a typical brightness of 350 nits and a contrast ratio of up to 800:1, enabling comfortable visibility in a range of ambient lighting conditions. The module’s Normally Black configuration enhances overall image quality by producing deeper blacks and stronger contrast for a more premium visual presentation.

Mechanical Design

The display is compact and slim, measuring 164.8 × 100.0 × 3.5 mm. Its active screen area is 154.2 × 85.92 mm, giving it an efficient screen-to-body ratio. All components meet RoHS standards, making the module safe and suitable for modern electronic use.

Connectivity & Interface

The ZDX070ZC001 uses an LVDS (Low-Voltage Differential Signaling) interface for fast and stable data transfer. It supports both 6-bit and 8-bit color modes through multiple differential input pairs. Control pins—including RESET, standby, scan direction, and inversion—make the display easy to integrate into different systems.

Backlight System

The display includes a white LED backlight with 27 LEDs arranged in three strings of nine. It typically operates at around 9.9V and 180mA, delivering bright, even lighting across the entire screen.

The display is designed for stable performance across a wide voltage range, making it suitable for embedded, handheld, and low-power electronic systems.

Use & Handling

To ensure optimal performance, the display should be protected from static discharge and kept free from pressure on the polarizer surface. Avoid leaving static images on the screen for extended periods to reduce the risk of image retention.
